Kalideo Awards

There are various regional and national awards that producers can enter their projects into. If a production company has won some critical acclaim, it is always a good indication of their capabilities and their level of expertise and commitment. In this regard, we are proud to say that our producer has to date received no less than five international awards, all of which was for projects done for the SA Department of Defence.

These are:

• The esteemed Prince Philip Helicopter Rescue Award for Operation Lichi, a documentary done on the SAAF’s assistance rendered to Mozambique during the floods that devastated this country at the beginning of 2000.
• A Special Mention Award for Harvard Farewell, a documentary done on the phasing out of the former SAAF fighter aircraft-trainer aircraft, won at the Italian International Competition for Military Documentaries, held in Rome during November 2001.
• Best Educational Film of 2004 for COLET: Your Partner in Competence, also won at the Italian International Competition for Military Documentaries, in November 2004.
• Overall Winner of the Humanitarian Category for A Season for Goodwill, won at the Polish Military Film Festival, held in Warsaw in May 2009.
• Overall Winner of the Peace Support Operations Category for Advocates of African Peace, won at the Italian International Competition for Military Documentaries, in November 2009.
